Form Projects delivered the refurbishment of Courtyard 1 within the University of Canberra's Student Central precinct, transforming the existing outdoor space into a modern and functional environment for students, staff and visitors.
Located within one of the University's busiest buildings, the project required careful planning, staging and ongoing stakeholder engagement to ensure uninterrupted access to enrolment services and daily campus operations throughout the construction period.
The works included the demolition and removal of the existing courtyard, relocation and replanting of established vegetation, stormwater infrastructure upgrades, installation of new irrigation systems, paving, landscaping and mature tree planting. Additional enhancements included new street furniture, PowerMe Up charging benches, automatic entry doors, architectural boulders and upgrades to existing structural columns. The completed project delivered an attractive and welcoming outdoor space that enhances student amenity and supports campus activation.
