The Garden Island Defence Precinct project at HMAS Kuttabul was for the refurbishment of the existing training area. The project scope consisted of the provision of an outdoor obstacle course and new basketball court.
During the project Form Projects realised that the existing embankment for the supporting ground was subsiding and needed immediate rectification. We worked closely with the client and specialists to derive a cost effective and suitable earth stabilisation design and methodology to ensure the embankment would not collapse.
The training area refurbishment was inclusive of the following tasks and new facilities;
Demolition of existing asphalt area including milling and re-sheeting
Remediation of embankment
Supply & installation of storage container including electrical services
Supply & install of outdoor gym equipment
Supply & install of new basketball court & accessories
Supply & installation of EPDM rubber tiling
Supply & installation of chain link fencing
Supply & installation of new strip drain
