Form Projects delivered critical electrical and communications infrastructure upgrades at CSIRO's Black Mountain campus to support future precinct development and the ongoing operation of the National Collections Building.
The project involved the installation, relocation and integration of high-voltage underground conduits and cabling, together with new fibre communications infrastructure. Delivered within an operational research environment, the works required careful planning and coordination to minimise disruption to existing services and campus activities.
The scope included service location and isolation works, arborist services for the removal of selected trees, and a range of civil construction activities including trenching, hydrovac excavation and underboring. Form Projects also installed new high-voltage conduits, pits and draw ropes, together with communications conduits, fibre pits and associated infrastructure to support future network expansion.
The successful delivery of the project enhanced the site's electrical and communications capacity, providing essential infrastructure to support future growth and development across the CSIRO Black Mountain campus.
