Fitout and Refurbishment | Heritage
The Australian Red Cross Cootamundra Awning and Shop Front rectification works project was for the refurbishment of a heritage listed shopfront on the main street in Cootamundra.
The works were performed in a live environment with the shop still in full operation whilst the works were undertaken. The attention to detail of the heritage elements were critical in enabling us to deliver a successful result in which the client and all applicable stakeholders were impressed with the overall result.
The following works were required to facilitate the project:
Removal of existing signage.
Demolition & removal of the existing awning, including structural elements, roof sheets and roof plumbing.
Make good existing brick work damaged from demolition works, inclusive of patching an painting of brickwork.
Removal os existing shop front door, inclusive of glazing and framing.
Make good bitumen pavement as required.
Supply & installation of new fibre cement soffit to underside of awning.
Supply & installation of new shopfront double door.
Supply & installation of required structural beam to support new glazed shopfront and door.
Supply & installation of associated door hardware to shop front foor inclusive of door handles, lock set, heavy duty hinges, door closers, and door stop.
